Maya Parekh is a communications associate at Inclusive Development International. Prior to joining the team, Maya conducted food justice research in Chicago. Her range of experience also includes decolonial archival research, and communications and program development at non-profits focused on gender-based violence prevention and women’s empowerment. Maya holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in women’s and gender studies from DePaul University, specializing in social policy and reproductive justice. Her academic work culminated in a project investigating pelvic exam violence and proposed solutions.
